To get new plates, you must provide 1 form of identity and proof of entitlement.
These are legal guidelines imposed by the DVLA, and sadly we can’t provide you with new or replacement registration plates without the correct documents!
Proof of identity:
- A driving licence, with or without a photo and (whether or not it was issued in the United Kingdom
- An electrify, gas, water, land line phone, council tax or rates bill in Northern Ireland (issued within the last six months)
- A bank or building society statement (issued within the last six months)
- A passport, whether or not issued in the United Kingdom
- A national identity card
- A debit card or credit card issued by a bank or building society
- A police warrant card
- An armed forces identity card
Proof of entitlement :
- A Vehicle Registration Certificate V5C/V5C(NI)
- The new Keeper Supplement V5C/2V5C/2(NI)
- A Certificate of Entitlement V750/V750(NI)
- A Retention Document V778 (N/A to Northern Ireland)
- A Renewal reminder for a tax disc or SORN V11/V11(NI)
